48 CASES OF SNAKE PRICK RECORDED IN ARMENIA BY AUGUST 10

YEREVAN, AUGUST 15, NOYAN TAPAN. 48 cases of snake prick were
registered in the regions of Armenia by August 10, including 13
cases in Ararat, 9 cases in Syunik, 8 in Aragatsotn, 7 in Tavush,
5 in Armavir, 4 in Kotayk, and 2 cases in Shirak. According to
the information provided to a Noyan Tapan correspondent by Ruslana
Gevorgian, the Advisor of the RA Minister of Health, there are no
cases of death registered so far. It was mentioned that over 80 cases
of snake prick, in general, were registered last year.

According to Ruslana Gevorgian, the corresponding medical departments
of all the regions of Armenia are provided with the necessary amount
of "Antigyurzin". Medical assistance to those suffered is provided
free of charge.

R. Gevorgian mentioned that in such cases one should not turn to
self-treatment, it is necessary to immediately go to the doctor.
