Armenian press criticized Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad’s
visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports quoting Iran Labour News Agency
(ILNA). Iranian media outlets called Iran "undeserving" partner for
Armenia, and Armenian officials to be careful in cooperation with Iran.
Armenian press said that Iran backs Azerbaijan’s stance regarding the
Nagorno Karabakh conflict, and linked it to the fact that majority
of both countries are Muslims: "Iran does not want this conflict
to be solved in favor of Armenia". Armenian Press found strategic
cooperation between Iran and Turkey as well as export of Turkmen gas
to Turkey through Iran very disloyal. Armenian press also accused
Iran of not recognizing so-called "Armenian genocide".
"Tehran has not recognized Armenian genocide officially, there are
a lot of Armenians living in Iran, though."
