KOCHARIAN RECEIVES IRANIAN VICE PRESIDENT

YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS: President Robert Kocharian received
today the visiting vice president of Iran Mohammad Aliabadi, who is
also chairman of Iran’s Physical Education Organization.
Mr. Aliabadi and several other Iranian officials have arrived in
Armenia to participate in the opening of the Fourth Pan-Armenian Games.
The presidential press office said both sides assessed highly the
current level of bilateral relationships saying frequented reciprocal
visits are giving a new quality to these ties.
They also spoke about cooperation of Armenia and Iran in sports,
saying a memorandum between the appropriate bodies of both countries
would be a major step in that direction.
