REPAIR OF 70 SCHOOLS PROVIDING GENERAL EDUCATION IN CAPITAL CONDUCTED BY FINANCING OF DIFFERENT SOURCES THIS YEAR

YEREVAN, AUGUST 27, NOYAN TAPAN. 44 schools under the subordination of
the Yerevan municipality are being repaired by the 3.7 million drams
(about 10.9 million U.S. dollars) allocated by the state budget of
this year. According to the information provided by Kamo Areyan, the
first Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, at the press conference held on August
27, another 11 schools of the capital are being repaired by the 265
million drams provided by the Social Investment Fund, and another
5 schools by the 10 million drams given by the Linsy foundation. It
was also mentioned that 415 million drams from the city-wide capital
expenditures affirmed by the Mayor of Yerevan have been directed at
the repair of 10 schools providing general education.
The Deputy Mayor declared that 96 million drams were allocated for
providing the schools having junior classes with corresponding property
by another program of the government.
