The International Society Loves Dual Standards

The enforcement of dual standards in the world practice is not in
the series of impossible things, and it seems that it will have its
examples for a long time.

People reverberate to the war-like announcements differently: it
depends on what country makes those announcements. Moreover, the
reaction is peaceful, taking into account to whom those announcements
are directed.

"The Azerbaijani army becomes more powerful day by day and is
ready to set free the territories that are under occupation of the
Armenian armed forces", the recurrent war-like announcements has
made the leader of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. He, at the same time,
mentioned that Azerbaijan was for the peaceful settlement of the
Karabakh conflict, not forgetting to mention about the increasing
military budget of Azerbaijan and the possible "attack" on it.

For the recurrent time forgetting about who controls the territories in
the region, Aliyev again speaks about the possibility of the war, and
the European institutes are silent, as always, moreover, they are mute.

Isn’t there an institute, a country that can stand against Aliyev’s
announcements? However, the non-peaceful announcements in the region
were the basis for the enforcement of the penalties, which have even
gained a legislative form in the USA.

It’s very interesting, why the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs do nothing
to put an end to the Aliyev’s bragging.

By the way, the Co-chairs are to meet the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister
Elmar Mammadyarov on September 3-4 to clarify the necessity for a
meeting at the level of Foreign Ministers. It is worth to mention
that the US Co-chair Matthew Bryza is not able to participate in the
meeting of the Co-chairs and Elmar Mammadyarov, as he and his Turkish
bride are busy with their post-wedding ceremonies.

The meeting is of great importance, as the Co-chairs are planning to
visit the region in the mid-September.
