The Harmony women’s NGO held two-day training entitled "Negotiating
skills. Civil society’s possibilities" in the village of Vank,
Martakert. Juliette Arustamyan, chair of the NGO, said in an interview
with Karabakh-Open.com, before this training the organization had
held four round-table meetings with students, women veterans, women in
government and security agencies. The most active participants of the
round-table meetings were invited to Vank. The training was held by
the chair of the Armenia-based European Integration NGO Karen Bekaryan.

The "round-table" meetings and the training were part of the project
funded by the International Alert.

The participants of the round-table meeting thanked the
organizers. Many confessed they had not been interested in politics
but after this project they started to take interest in political
processes and would like to participate in other similar events.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
