KAZAKH INVESTMENTS IN ARMENIA AMOUNT TO ABOUT $35 MILLION

"Kazakh investments in Armenia amount to about $35 million,"
Yerlan Koubashev, representative of Kazakhstan in Armenia, said
this in the course of the press conference, yesterday. He stated
that only one big Kazakh investor operates in Armenia, namely, "BTA
Investbank. It’s worth mentioning that the grater part of its shares
belongs to the Kazakhstan based "Bank Turan Alem" company. According
to the ambassador, there are several construction companies from
Kazakhstan working in Armenia. He also emphasized that there are
serious prospects of economic cooperation and various bilateral
relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan.
