YEREVAN. August 30. /ARKA/. Expenses of individuals – stationary
telecommunication subscribers in Armenia – exceed similar indicators
in Moscow, Azerbaijan and the United States, Ashot Turanjan, net
administrator and web designer at Armenian Centre for National and
International Studies, said Thursday during a round-table discussion
over telecommunication in Armenia.

He said payments for stationary telecommunication make 18.5% of an
average salary equal to $197.

"Azerbaijan, Moscow and the United States residents, whose average
salary is $196, $500 and $3120, pay 8.9%, 4% and 0.7% of their salaries
every month", he said.

Turajan also said that Georgia with its 22% of $115 average salary
has outdone Armenia.

Armenian National Statistical Service’s figures are grounded on open
and non-official information published by media outlets.
