YEREVAN, August 30. /ARKA/. To develop the Internet in Armenia it is
necessary to increase the number of qualified specialists and improve
infrastructures, said Director of "Arminco" LLC Andranik Alexanyan
during the round table "Effectiveness of modern communications in
Armenia" in Yerevan.
He said that the issue of the lack of professional staff is rather
urgent for the country as it is the main hindrance on the way to
competitiveness.
"It is very important to start the familiarization with the World Web
from the school desk, and the issue of teaching the rudiments of the
Internet in school is directly connected with the rise of teachers’
salaries," he said.
Alexanyan claims if school teachers are highly paid the quality of
teaching will also increase and it will contribute to the in-flow of
highly qualified specialists to the market.
"If the problem is not solved in the coming 5-10 years, all the
companies and organizations of the sphere will have serious problems
with the lack of professional staff," he said.
Besides, according to the Director of Arminco, from the viewpoint of
infrastructure development it is necessary to pay special attention
to the development of the Internet in the regions of the country
where there is big human potential.
"State structures together with the representatives of the private
sector should place necessary investments for the development of the
relevant infrastructures in the regions," Alexanyan said.
The Company Arminco has been providing Internet services since 1992.
Providing Internet access by DialUP, DSL, wireless connection and
optics since 2006, Arminco provides wireless connection by WiFi
technologies. Among the users of the companies there are state

well as individual users.
