A DELEGATION REPRESENTING CATHOLICOS ARAM I PARTICIPATES
IN THE 29TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MOUSA SADR

The 29th anniversary of the disappearance of the former Lebanese Shiite
Leader Imam Mousa al-Sadr was commemorated during a public gathering in
Baalbeck on Friday evening. The ceremony featured speeches by leaders of the
Shiite community and the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nebih Berri.

Berri had sent a special delegation to meet with Catholicos Aram I and
invite him to the ceremony. Primate of the Diocese of Lebanon Bishop Kegham
Khatcherian, V. Rev. Norayr Ashekian and Dr. Jean Salmanian attended the
ceremony on behalf of the Armenian Pontiff. They convened His Holiness’
greetings to the Speaker of the Parliament.
