Presentation on cross at Sts. Vartanantz
CHELMSFORD — As part of the Deacons Dialogue spiritual and
educational series at Saints Vartanantz Armenian Orthodox Church,
Deacon Ara Jeknavorian will discuss "The Saving Power of the Cross
through the Armenian Orthodox Experience" on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at
7 p.m.
The multimedia presentation and discussion will focus on how the
symbol of the cross has inspired the faithful from the time of the
Apostles to the modern era. The program is a prelude to the Feast of
the Exaltation of the Holy Cross — a major feast day of the Armenian
Church to be celebrated on Sunday, Sept. 16 — when the Holy Cross,
adorned with sweet basil, is taken in procession, blessing the
faithful.
