/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Armenian Foreign Ministry thinks that
recognition of Nagorno Karabakh would be premature at the moment. When
commenting on the initiative of Heritage opposition party to recognize
independence of Artsakh, RA MFA Spokesman Vladimir Karapetian said
recognition of NKR independence remains on the agenda of Armenia’s
foreign policy.

"Recognition of independence should come as the most efficient step
that will promote the final settlement of the conflict. This moment
has not come yet," he said, IA Regnum reports.

August 28 Raffi K. Hovannisian, Armenia’s ex-Foreign Minister and
the leader of Heritage parliamentary faction, introduced into the
Armenian National Assembly a draft bill "On recognition of the Nagorno
Karabakh Republic."

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
