The Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) will hold demonstrations
in different parts of Baku due to the arrival of Armenians to Baku
on 5 and 6 September, Akif Nagi, the Chairman of KLO, reported to
the Trend News Agency.

Meeting of Interior ministries of CIS countries will be held in Baku on
5 and 6 September. Representatives of the Armenian Interior Ministry
will also participate at the meeting. The Azerbaijani Government has
guaranteed security for the Armenian representatives.

"The Armenian Government has done everything for the world to forget
the Karabakh conflict and its attempt to restore relations with
Azerbaijan and creating conditions for Armenians to visit Azerbaijan
serves as the main purpose. We will do everything to prevent Armenians
visiting Baku. We will not change our decision despite all warnings
by the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan. Demonstrations will be held
in different districts of Baku," KLO’s chairman said.

KLO’s members attempted to prevent the meeting participated by the
Armenian officers at the NATO’s conference in Baku on 22 June 2004.

As a result KLO’s members were detained and the chairman of KLO,
Nagi, was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and 5 persons to 4 years
imprisonment. The Azerbaijani Appeal Court reduced Nagi’s sentence
and he was sentenced to two years imprisonment and the other members
of KLO to one year.

Members of KLO will also protest against the participation of Armenian
sportsmen in the World Wrestling Championship, which will be held
in Baku on 17 September. Demonstrations will be held in different
districts of Baku from 15 September.

The conflict between the two countries of South Caucasus began in 1988
due to territorial claims by Armenia against Azerbaijan. Armenia has
occupied 20% of the Azerbaijani land including the Nagorno-Karabakh
region and its seven surrounding Districts. Since 1992, these
territories have been under the occupation of the Armenian Forces. In
1994, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement at which time
the active hostilities ended. The Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group
(Russia, France and USA) are currently holding peaceful negotiations.

Karabakh Liberation Organization was founded in 28 January 2000 with
the aim to liberate Karabakh from Armenian occupants.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
