RUBEN ALEXANIAN ESTABLISHES 8 YOUTH RECORDS IN EUROPEAN YOUTH WEIGHTLIFTING CEREMONY

PAVIA, SEPTEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. The European Youth Weightlifting
Championship finished in the Italian city of Pavia on September
2. Ultra heavyweight Ruben Alexanian (Ararat), who set up 8 European
records, registered excellent results in the list of the European
youth records.
Ruben Alexanian pulled 170 kg, pushed 216 kg in the final result
and was recognized as the strongest 16 years old sportsman with 386
kg result achieved in the biathlon, as well as gained the title of
the champion. It should be mentioned that he is trained up with his
father Garnik Alexanian at the head.
In general, the Armenian representative team gained four golden and
four silver medals in the European Youth Championship.
