THERE WILL BE NO NON-HEATED SCHOOLS AND KINDERGARTENS IN 2010 IN YEREVAN, YERVAND ZAKHARIAN SAYS

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. 100 out of more than 200
comprehensive schools of Yerevan are fundamentally repaired and
provided with a personal boiler-house at present. 5.5bn drams (nearly
15.7m USD) has been allocated from the RA state budget for that
purpose only in 2007, and 3.5bn drams has been allocated by the Lincy
foundation. Yerevan Mayor Yervand Zakharian said this during his visit
to four schools of Yerevan’s Arabkir, Erebuni, and Avan communities
on the occasion of Knowledge Day. It was also mentioned that there
will be no non-heated schools and kindergartens in 2010 in Yerevan.

The Mayor congratulated the pupils and teachers on the occasion of
Knowledge Day wishing them success in the new schoolyear.
