SCHOOL OF VILLAGE OF KHASHTARAK, TAVUSH REGION, TO BE REPAIRED WITHIN FRAMEWORK OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OF HAYASTAN ALL-ARMENIAN FUND

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, NOYAN TAPAN. The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s
German local body jointly with the Union of Armenian Businessmen
of Germany will finance reconstruction and total furnishing of the
school of the village of Khashtarak, Tavush region. As Noyan Tapan
correspondent was informed by the Fund’s Public Relations Department,
these measures are implemented within the framework of the Fund’s
Rural Development Program.

The Fund’s German local body has organized a number of fund raising
events to assist the program. It was mentioned that the Fund’s Swiss
local body will also take part in the program by financing suppling
the school with gas and building a new heating system.

The school of Khashtarak was built in 1973 and has never undergone
major repairs. 251 pupils attend the school at present. After the
reconstruction the school can receive up to 600 pupils not only from
Khashtarak, but also from the neighboring villages.
