SHAVARSH KOCHARYAN: WRONG TO BELIEVE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPETE WITH AZERBAIJAN

"World practice has shown that it is not the economy built on raw
material that brings development," Chairman of National Democratic
Party (AJK) Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters today also saying it
is wrong to believe that Azerbaijan has oil and it is impossible
to compete with it. As an example he brought Iceland saying without
natural resources it has exceeded Germany and Great Britain in its GDP.
Speaking about relations with Russia, he said, unfortunately, they do
not get out of the shell of "forever friends" and now, when we see,
that our expectations do no come true, we get disappointed.
"Armenia must pursue very pragmatic policy with Russia and not get
from one extreme into another," Kocharyan summed up.
