WB PROVIDES CREDITS OF .5 MILLION TO ARMENIA IN PAST FINANCIAL YEAR

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 6, NOYAN TAPAN. The World Bank provided credits
of a total of .5 mln to Armenia in the past financial year (from
July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007) with the aim of implementing various
programs. NT correspondent was informed by the WB Yerevan Office that
since 1993, Armenia has received credits of a total of over billion
from the WB, and these credits have been allocated for restoration of
irrigation and drinking water systems and development of education,
health care and environmental protection.

According to the same source, in the past financial year the WB Board
of Directors provided credits of .3 bln to member states, thanks to
which 620 programs on education, health care, etc. were implemented.
