ArmInfo. Many are interesting now if prime minister of NKR Anushavan
Danielyan will remain at his post or a new premier will be appointed.
ArmInfo’s special correspondent to Stepanakert reports that it will
become clear in few days after today’s inauguration of new president
Bako Sahakyan.
Anushavan Danielyan has been at post of prime minister for already
8 years longer than all his predecessors. Under his premiership the
country underwent serious structural and economic reforms.
Due to it, GDP in the country grew 6 times, state revenues grew 7
times, the average salary grew 5 times, and pensions were up 4.8
times. All the debts accumulated since 1999 have been recovered
in a very short term. The living standards in the country have
considerably grown. Economy grew to a qualitatively new level. "The
foundation laid by Anushavan Danielyan will greatly help the government
continue the reforms for the welfare and prosperity of the country,"
NKR Governmental press-service reports. Under the Constitution, within
ten days after inauguration the President will submit the nominee for
the prime minister to the consideration of the Parliament. In five
days the parliamentarians are to elect the prime minister by majority
of votes. Afterwards, the president appoints the prime minister within
three days. At the premier’s suggestion, the president appoints the
other members of the Government within 20 days. Then, the Parliament
will approve the Government activity program in conformity with the
Constitution.
