Not To Close The Old Nuclear Power Plant Until The New One Is Built

NOT TO CLOSE THE OLD NUCLEAR POWER PLANT UNTIL THE NEW ONE IS BUILT

"We have always announced that we are ready to close the Nuclear
Power Plant once we have an alternative power.

Today we are saying that taking into consideration the developments in
the region, the tendencies of raising the prices of power generating
materials in the international market, the only alternative in Armenia
can be the nuclear power. Which means, until we have a new Nuclear
Power Plant we can’t close the old one," Minister of Energy Armen
Movsisyan said.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered.
