Alexei Mikhailichenko, the chief coach of Ukraine youth national
football team, considers that the result of the yesterday’s selective
match was not important for the Armenian youth football team. "I am
aware that you have a new coach and I think it is more important to
establish a good team. The result and the position in the match list
are secondary for you now.

But we fight for the next stage and have no right to lose a score,
since serious fight is going on between Czech and Turkish national
teams".

In Mr Mikhailichenko’s opinion, both Ukraine and Armenia did not
demonstrate their capacities properly.

"It is impossible to show spectacular match in such hot weather. The
Armenian team played well only in the first half of the match".

Mikhailichenko was dismissed from the field for arguing with the
judge. "It was strange that the 4-th judge dismissed me. I don’t know
whether he was competent to do that or no".

Varuzhan Sukiasyan, the chief coach of the Armenian youth national
team was discontent with the play of his team. "Our footballers have
not recovered after the meeting with the Czech team on Saturday. The
bad physical state was felt in the second half of the match. We made
two careless mistakes and allowed the opponent to defeat us".

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
