Yesterday the Russian President Putin accepted the resignation
of the parliament and nominated Zubkov, the head of the financial
intelligence of Russia, for the post of prime minister. There is no
doubt the parliament will affirm Zubkov’s nomination on September 14.

Analysts say regarding this move the Kremlin is still uncertain
regarding the "heir" of the Russian president. Although Sergey Ivanov,
vice prime minister, had been said likely prime minister, Putin showed
he is not a lame duck, the Financial Times wrote.

On the other hand, analysts believe that after nomination for the post
of prime minister Zubkov will hardly become an heir. He is close to
Putin, works silently and without dust, has no political ambitions.

The analysts do not rule out that by appointing him Putin solves his
problem of returning to power in 2012 either personally or through
the option of collective Putin.

For its part, these developments regarding the Russian government
will certainly affect the Armenian government. The point is that the
problem of the candidate of the government has not been solved yet.

For Serge Sargsyan Sergey Ivanov’s withdrawal may be crucial because
he was Serge Sargsyan’s political "roof" and mediator with Putin,
who was said not to approve the aspirations of the Armenian prime
minister to presidency.
