Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and the Armenian airline Armavia plan to sign
a contract on Friday to supply two Sukhoi Superjet 100 airplanes with
an option agreement for another two aircraft, the airline told RBC.
Serial production of the regional Superjet 100s, which are set to
eventually replace the currently operating Tu -134 planes, is scheduled
to start on January 1, 2008, with 60 aircraft to be produced that
year. The price of each jet, depending on its modification, will
average $29.5m.
