MTS TO EXAMINE THE ISSUE OF RE-BRANDING OF VIVACELL

Yerevan, September 14 /Mediamax/. Russian MTS Company will examine the
issue of carrying out a re-branding of the Armenian mobile operator
VivaCell.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at a news conference in Yerevan today,
President of MTS Leonid Melamed stated that in all the CIS states
the business of the group develops under the MTS brand.

"However, this does not mean that we intend to by no means change
the VivaCell brand. We will be examining the given issue and will
make the decision tentatively in mid-2008", Leonid Melamed stated.

He noted that MTS does not plan to change the management of the
company, which it considers educated and highly-professional.

Leonid Melamed named today the main tasks of VivaCell: preserving the
leadership in the market, the high quality of yield level, securing
the highest standards of quality, developing new additional services.

MTS President stated that the company will turn to receive a license
for providing services of broadband internet access in Armenia.
