TRADE GROWS BY 72.1%

For the first half of this year, compared to the same time frame of
2006, trade between Armenia and Russia grew by 72.1%. According to the
government’s news department, the 9th session of the Armenian-Russian
committee concerned with economic issues rated as positive the future
state of economic and trade relations between the countries.
As stated in the figures presented, Russia has invested 74 million
US dollars into Armenia’s economy this year, about 3.8 times higher
than the same time frame last year. Of this amount, 37.8 million are
strictly investments, with growth in general 24.4 times higher.
