ARMENIAN PREMIER URGES ENTREPRENEURS TO PROVIDE CHARITY TO PEOPLE
ARKA
September 17 2007
Armenian entrepreneurs will realize very soon that the key source of
their wealth is the people, Armenian Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan
said Saturday in an interview with Azg newspaper.
"Entrepreneurs should take care of the source of their income and
welfare", he said.
Sargsyan thinks businessmen should understand that they will take
advantage from people’s welfare and poverty elimination in the country.
"Children of the rich can’t be happy, if other children live in
poverty", the PM said in his interview.
He said entrepreneurs should engage in a genuine charity by targeting
a part of their income for people.
"This will be a long-term charity, not that granted from elections to
elections. A man should feel a constant necessity to make charity",
the premier said.
Sargsyan is convinced that the rich should understand that their wealth
doesn’t give them more responsibility, not rights. He said the rich
must understand that the money won’t help them pave a way to paradise –
it would be easier not to commit sins instead of expiating them later.
