Armenian Prime Minister To Assist HayPost Settling Problems

ARMENIAN PRIME MINISTER TO ASSIST HAYPOST SETTLING PROBLEMS

Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan held a discussion Monday on the problems
around HayPost Company that has been transferred to trust of a Dutch
company.

Governmental press-service told ArmInfo that among the participants
in the discussion were not only the head of the Governmental State
Property Management Department and the chairman of the Armenian Central
Bank, but also Hans Boon, Trust Manager of HayPost, and Karekin Kirk
Odabashyan, HayPost Deputy Director General. Prime Minister Sargsyan
said HayPost was transferred to trust in order to bring the company’s
services to international standards, to reform and modernize it. On
September 7 2007 after a discussion on HayPost problems, there was
need for the opinion of HayPost leadership on the situation in order
to compare it with the opinions before the company’s transfer to
trust. At the same time, S. Sargsyan said that the regulation of this
issue will allow the parties taking measures within their competence to
settle the existing problems and achieve the goal at the stated time.

For his part, Hans Boon HayPost Trust Manager thanked the Government
of Armenia and the prime minister for the readiness to assist the
company in settling the problems it has faced and reported on the work
carried out under his management. At the request of the premier, he
dwelled on the company’s future activity and the results expected. At
the end of the meeting, the premier gave necessary instructions to
relevant departments and said that the activity of HayPost will be
in the focus of the Government’s attention constantly.
