ARAZ AZIMOV: PARTICIPATION OF AZERBAIJANI AND ARMENIAN COMMUNITIES OF NAGORNO KARABAKH IN OSCE MINSK GROUP NEGOTIATIONS IS POSSIBLE

Participation of Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Nagorno
Karabakh in OSCE Minsk Group negotiations is possible, Azerbaijani
deputy foreign minister Araz Azimov said briefing today, APA reports.
Azimov characterizing present state of Nagorno Karabakh conflict
stated that position of world community is developing towards the
position of Azerbaijan.
"The development of negotiations continues in the framework of Prague
process and makes solution possible. We expect that Armenia’s position
will change," he said.
Following this, Azerbaijani diplomat regards that the situation will
not change seriously until presidential elections start in Armenia. He
stated that situation will differ in 2008. Mr. Azimov said that it
is too early to speak about the meeting of presidents.
Deputy minister said that there is no agreement regarding the next
meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian representatives, at the same time
no one refused it.
Azimov stated that return of Azerbaijanis to their native lands is
one of the principal issues for Azerbaijan.
