Armenian President Robert Kocharyan and Russian Acting Minister of
Transport Igor Levitin have highly appreciated the current level of
bilateral economic cooperation.

The two statesmen said this during their Friday’s meeting.

Levitin is now in Armenia to attend a meeting of the Russian-Armenian
Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Commission.

As the Russian minister and Armenian Prime Minister Serzh Sarkisyan
co-chair the commission, they informed the Armenian president on the
results of the commission’s activity.

The intergovernmental commission plays a weighty role in the boosting
of bilateral cooperation, Sarkisyan stressed.

"Considerable results have been achieved in the condition of the
steady development of Russian and Armenian economies due to the regular
political dialog between the leaders of our two countries," he said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
