The RA Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan met the newly appointed Prime
Minister of Russia Victor Zubkov in Moscow.
The latter announced that the custom of Armenia-Russia relations would
retain after the upcoming presidential elections in both countries
in 2008.
"I see our common problem in the development of allied relations, first
of all in economic and humanitarian fields, and in the maintenance
of Russian-Armenian agreement base", said Zubkov adding that in the
result of today’s negotiations a number of documents would be signed.
Serge Sargsyan informed the Prime Minister of Russia that he had
arrived in Russia with some "concrete proposals" and draft, which
might promote the further development of co-operation.
According to the RA Prime Minister, business, including large-scale,
highly contributes the collaboration of economic development.
"Our economic relations are enlarging, reaching the collaboration on
political level", said Serge Sargsyan.
In the first half of 2007 the growth of bilateral goods’ circulation
exceeded 70 percent, which according to Serge Sargsyan "is the prove
of the above mentioned".
