IN AZERBAIJAN THEY PROTEST IN ADVANCE AGAINST CREATION OF THE SECOND RUSSIAN MILITARY BASE AT THE TERRITORY OF ARMENIA

ArmInfo. Creation of the second Russian military base at the territory
of Armenia will lead to worsening of situation in the region which
is hanging in the balance, as Trend agency reports, representative
of press-service of Azerbaijani Defence Ministry Ilgar Verdiev said
yesterday.

To note, the Armenian party has not officially declared of such
plans. At the same time according to the Azerbaijani party, the
issue of the second base creation will be discussed at the talks
of the Russian delegation in Yerevan. According to a source from
Armenian Defence Ministry, it is not ruled out that with a help of such
"information" the Azerbaijani party is preparing ground for deployment
of Turkish bases at its territory.

At present the 102-nd Russian military base is deployed in Gyumri at
the territory of Armenia.
