The controversial Armenian brothers Artur Margaryan and Sargasyan are
back in the news with parliament declaring that they were conmen and
drug traffickers who enjoyed questionable protection.

A joint committee of parliament investigating the saga tabled its
report demanding the arrest of Nairobi PCIO Isaiah Osugo, director of
operations at the police headquarters David Kimaiyo and Gigiri OCPD
Patrick Lumumba and other individuals who refused to appear before
it to aid in investigations failure to which it will institute a
private prosecution.

The report further says that the two brothers’ stay in the country
was dogged by illegalities ranging from the registration of their
companies to the acquisition of their passports.

It also claims that the Armenian brothers imported goods where tax
was not paid, used government vehicles and were mysteriously appointed
to the police force as deputy commissioners of police.

Its members are Ramadhan Kajembe, Paul Muite, Alfred Nderitu,
Abdallah Ngozi, Odhiambo Mamba, Musa Sirma, Daudi Mwanzia, Omingo
Magara,Patrice Ivuti, Noah arap Too,Kenneth Marende, Bifwoli Wakoli,
Njoki Ndung’u, Macharia Mukiri, Zaddock Syongo, Moses Cheboi, Gideaon
Ndambuki and others.
