Armenia has published translations of a number of stories by Iranian
writers in an attempt to strengthen cultural ties with Iran.
`Mohammad Reza Yousefi’s ‘The Little Star’ is now on the curriculum
in Armenian schools,’ said Reza Atoufi, Iran’s cultural attaché in
Armenia.
`Including such a beautiful work in Armenian school books shows
Iranian literature is a harbinger of peace, friendship, and beauty,’
said Georg Asatrian, the story’s translator.
Asatrian will also publish ‘A Collection of Iranian Tales’, ‘A
Collection of Contemporary Iranian Stories’, and translations of
selected chapters of ‘Kelileh va Demneh’, a collection of Persian
fables.
