0.5% REVALUATION OF USD AGAINST AMD BECAUSE OF 0.7% RISE IN CONSUMER PRICES IN ARMENIA SEP 2007

YEREVAN, October 1. /ARKA/. 0.5% revaluation of USD against AMD
(September 1-27) was recorded in Armenia because of 0.7% rise in
the prices of consumer market in September, the Armenian National
Statistical Service told ARKA.

At the same time, as compared to December 2006, 0.2% deflation of
the consumer market was accompanied by reduction of USD rate by 7.1%.

During the same period in 2006 the inflation was 2.3%, and the
devaluation of the USD 13.7%.

This September the average USD rate was AMD 338.6/$1, which means that
USD weakened by 12.7% as compared to September 2006 (AMD 378.89).
