BAKO SAHAKIAN: "KARABAGH CONFLICT TO BE SOLVED ON BASIS OF MUTUAL CONCESSIONS"

"There has not been such a heroic and crucial period in our nation’s
ancient history. No one will understand us and nothing justify, if we
yield at diplomatic field. The conflict must be solved via peace talks,
on the basis of mutual concessions that will guarantee inviolability of
the Nagorno-Karabagh people’s right to self determination, which will
enable us to overcome consequences of the armed confrontation. That
is Nagorno-Karabagh people’s will and the leadership’s stand",
Nagorno-Karabagh Republic President Bako Sahakian stated at a
meeting held with a delegation of RA MFA Central administration,
ambassadors and heads of consulates headed by RA FM Vardan Oskanian,
IA REGNUM reports.
Noting complicated nature of the Karabagh issue, Nagorno-Karabagh
President voiced assurance that both foreign and internal political
difficulties were surmountable. Bako Sahakian also underscored the role
of RA Diplomatic Corps in the settlement of the above-mentioned issues.
In the course of the meeting the interlocutors, in part, discussed
Nagorno-Karabagh conflict settlement’s current stage and the
perspectives and various aspect of mutual cooperation. Bako Sahakian
dwelled on the principal issues NKR faced.
