The leader of the National Solidarity Party Artashes Geghamyan stated
in a news conference on October 3 he had sensational news regarding
the nomination of Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Artashes Geghamyan said there
will be clarity regarding the nomination of the first president after
Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan’s visits. "After the upcoming official
visits of the prime minister the agitation regarding the nomination
will gradually fade away," Artashes Geghamyan says.

According to him, in October Serge Sargsyan will have a few
important official visits, after which it will become clear if Levon
Ter-Petrosyan will be nominated or not.

"The negotiations have been lasting for 13, 14 years. France, Russia,
the United States are participating in the talks. If, fortunately,
the negotiations did not turn into a war, it means the three powers
accepted the status quo regarding the Karabakh issue. The CoE admitted
Armenia and Azerbaijan simultaneously, which means they also accepted
the status quo. In this situation, I think, major geopolitical shocks
are possible if the sequence is broken. Now I find it difficult to
mention what interests each of the mentioned countries has because it
is a knot of serious questions. Therefore, I am saying that everything
will be settled by October 25. There will be crucial visits which
will bring clarity on nomination," Artashes Geghamyan said.
