YEREVAN, OCTOBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. In the opinion of Paruyr Hayrikian,
the leader of the National Self-Determination party, special services’
agents are involved in various political parties in Armenia. During
the October 3 meeting with journalists, he warned that meetings
of political forces continue, however, the anti-democratic forces,
that is, agents, also do not sit idly. P. Hayrikian is sure that the
agents will pose a danger for development of democracy in the country
until the secret agents’ network is disclosed in Armenia.
As for the first President’s return to politics, P. Hayrikian said
that behind L. Ter-Petrosian’s return to politics we can see his
striving for "seizing the post." By stating that he will support
the common candidate, L. Ter-Petrosian, in P. Hayrikian’s opinion,
acted non-professionally, as "the common opposition candidate cannot
fall from the sky: we need help in order to find him, and the first
President rather impeded than helped that business." In P.
Hayrikian’s opinion, it would be more correct if L. Ter-Petrosian
said that he uses his experience for finding such a common candidate.
As P. Hayrikian evaluated, L. Ter-Petrosian’s emergence in the
political field means that one oligarch is replaced by another.
