SYRIA AND ARMENIA TO MAKE BILATERAL RELATIONS MORE ACTIVE

Today newly appointed ambassador of Armenia to Syria Arshak Poladyan
has submitted the copies of his credentials to the foreign minister
of the country, Ualid al-Muallimy. On October 7, he will submit the
originals of his credentials to president of Syria, Bashshar al-Asad,
Armenian foreign ministry press and information department reports.

In a conversation with Syrian foreign minister, Poladyan discussed
recent developments in Nagorno Karabakh conflict regulation. The
minister was interested also in the social and economic situation
of Armenia. In his words, bilateral trade and economic links do not
reflect the created warm political relations. The parties arranged
to put efforts in order to make bilateral cooperation more active.
