AMERICAN ASSEMBLY SENDS ANOTHER LETTER TO NANCY PELOSI
Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) has recently sent a letter to eight
ex-state secretaries of USA in response to their written appeal on
Resolution 106addressed to Speaker of House of Representatives Nancy
Pelosi. AAA informs that the appeal of the state secretaries in the
letter is against basic principles of American values.
"Enough is enough. No more lies. No more deceit. No more denial. By
preventing a vote, you not only impede the democratic process and do a
great disservice to the 226 cosponsors and the millions of Americans
that support this resolution, but also unwittingly encourage a
campaign of denial. Is this the message we want to teach future
generations – it is permissible to deny genocide," the letter
addressed to the speaker says. The Executive Director of the Assembly
Brian Arduni announced that AAA will continue work to ensure desired
outcome of vote of Resolution 106 at the House.
Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan has also sent a letter to
the Speaker of U.S. House recently. Prior to that, U.S. eight
ex-state secretaries had applied to Nancy Palosi requiring not to put
the bill on the Armenian genocide on vote.
