SERGE SARGSYAN IS NOT WELL-INFORMED

The Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev stated October 5 at the
residence of the Leader of the Caucasian Muslims that the state
budget of Azerbaijan will total 12 billion dollars in 2008. Aliyev
stated soon the Milli Mejlis will start discussing the budget bill,
and according to the bill the budget totals 12 billion. The
Azerbaijani president said 3 billion has been foreseen for state
investments in 2008. Ilham Aliyev said the main expenditure will
involve infrastructures and development of rural communities.

It is notable that a few weeks ago Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan
stated on the floor of the Armenian parliament that the budget of
Armenia will total 2.5 billion dollars in 2008, and also said as far
as he knew, the budget of Azerbaijan would be 6-6.5 billion in 2008.
In fact, the source of the prime minister is not reliable. It is
interesting to know how reliable the information about the situation
in Armenia that Serge Sargsyan gets is.
