YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS: Senor Hasratian, a spokesman for
the defense army of Nagorno-Karabakh, has denied Azerbaijani media
allegations that Armenian troops of Nagorno-Karabakh breached the
truce and set fires on controlled areas.

Still last year an OSCE-led team of international experts
denied Azerbaijani allegations that fries in areas surrounding
Nagorno-Karabakh were set by Armenians, saying after a 10-day mission
to assess their environmental impact that they had been caused by
dry weather.

Hasratian said there are rains now in Nagorno-Karabakh and fires can
not be caused by weather. He said these allegations are baseless.

Referring to allegations that Armenian troops breached the ceasefire,
Hasratian said these allegations have become so commonplace that they
are not wroth denying.

"The impression from Azeri media reports is that there is intensive
fighting on the contact line, which is not true. Azeri claims are a
lie," he said.
