YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Armenian law on earth entrails
exploitation is in need of amendment, Arthur Ashughyan, chief of
Armenian Trade and Economic Development Ministry’s unit on earth
entrails and mining industry, said Tuesday at a press conference.

He said Armenia has two laws – on earth entrails exploitation and
on concession.

"The latter is more advanced and liberal while the law on entails
exploitation contains more traditional and old principles, which
often contradict the law on concession", Ashughyan said.

He thinks a new law is needed. This law will constitute a combination
of the present two laws’ positive aspects.

On October 1, 2007, Armenian National Assembly passed amendments to
the law on concession.

The amendments set rules for providing entrails-related information
to tax agencies without licensed entities’ permission.
