PM SERGE SARGSYAN RECEIVED THE DELEGATION OF THE WORLD ARMENIAN CONGRESS

RA Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan today received the delegation headed
by Ara Abrahamyan, the Chairman of the World Armenian Congress and
the Union of Armenians of Russia.

Welcoming the guests, the Prime Minister noted that Armenians
have always been following the pro-Armenian activity of the World
Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia with great
interest. According to him, the programs of the Motherland and the
Diaspora to have a strong state and a strong Diaspora are consistent,
and the cooperation to reach this end is effective. Serge Sargsyan
underlined that Armenia has few natural resources, it’s wealth is the
educated, diligent and creative people, and the only effective way to
demonstrate the potential of the Armenia nation is the construction of
stable democratic Armenia with free economy and efficient army. The
Prime Minister noted with appreciation that this is the route taken
by the leadership and members of the World Armenian Congress and the
Union of Armenians of Russia.

Thanking the Prime Minister for the high estimation of the activity
of the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia,
Ara Abrahamyan said he stands for making better use of the Diaspora’s
potential. He assured that the Diaspora will do its best to come
up to the expectations of the Motherland, since, according to him,
the guarantee of survival of the Diaspora is the existence of stable
and strong Motherland and Armenian statehood.

At the end of the meeting PM Sereg Sargsyan wished success to all
Armenian organizations of the Diaspora in their activity in the
direction of preserving Armenian identity abroad, deepening the
cooperation with Motherland and further strengthening of Armenian
statehood.
