Today the Armenian soccer team will play the team from Belgium in
the Euro-2008 competition in Brussels. The goalie, Roman Beregovski,
is injured, as well as defender Hamlet Mkhitaryan. UEFA official
sources inform that a team of referees from Iceland will judge the
Armenia-Belgium match. We note that the possibility of the Armenian
team reaching the next stage is strictly theoretical. It is in the
A category with 9 points and is in 6th place.
We remind that the Armenian team beat Poland (2-1) and Kazakhstan
(1-0) in the first round, but then lost to Poland, Finland, and
Belgium. Armenia is playing in the A category, which includes
Azerbaijan, Finland, Serbia, Poland, Portugal, Belgium, and Kazakhstan.
