Community Council Of Plovdiv Recognizes Armenian Genocide

COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF PLOVDIV RECOGNIZES ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

PLOVDIV, OCTOBER 17, NOYAN TAPAN. The Community Council of the
Bulgarian city of Plovdiv on October 4 unanimously recognized the
fact of the genocide committed against Armenians in 1915-1923.

NT was informed by the RA MFA Press and Information Department that the
issue of recognition of the Armenian Genocide was put on the agenda of
the sitting by the Community Council’s Commission on Youth Activity,
International Relations and European Integration.

In its decision the Community Council appealed to the National Assembly
of Bulgaria to recognize the genocide committed against Armenians in
the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1923.
