Almost everybody speak of strengthening Armenia-Diaspora,
Diaspora-Diaspora relations. And more frequently people speak of
representing Armenia abroad; we try to represent ourselves with
everything that has become a brand.

"Days of All Armenian Congress and Russia’s Armenians Union in Armenia
and Artsakh – 2007" four-days program ended with a day devoted to
Diaspora. Different from the programs representing Armenia abroad,
this program represented the communities of Diaspora to Armenia.

Mainly, in No 163 school of Yerevan members of AAC and RAU delegation,
teachers and schoolchildren were shown performances representing
"a glance from Russia at Armenia".

After a concert program, when the names of not only well-known
Armenians of Russia were introduced, but also the Russian writers
and figures that had particular attitude towards Armenian people,
Director of the school Karen Schahnubarian attached importance to
the cooperation with AAC and RAU and informed that the President of
AAC and RAU Ara Abrahamian had been elected as a Chairman of Honor
of the Board of Trustees of the school.

Representative of the Embassy of Russia Anatoli Nikolaev, in his turn,
underlined the role of the Russia’s Armenians Union and reminded
and thanked for the visits to Russian-speaking villages Fioletovo
and Lermontovo and the gifts to the schools and schoolchildren of
the villages in the framework of the program "Days of All Armenian
Congress and Russia’s Armenians Union in Armenia and Artsakh – 2007".

Vice-president of AAC and RAU Vladimir Aghayan also thanked for
organizing an event devoted to the Armenian community of Russia
and mentioned that the knowledge of Russian language always remains
important and necessary. He also informed that No 163 school will add
the number of more than 500 schools and educational centers that got
computerized classrooms in the framework of the program "Computerized
schools to Armenia and Artsakh; national concern".

Similar events were held also in No 119 and No 67 schools of Yerevan
devoted to the Armenian communities of France and USA correspondingly.

Computer classrooms were opened in the above-mentioned schools.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
