Kosovo ethnic politician condemns terrorism, US resolution
Ankara, 18 October: We condemn the terrorist organization PKK
[Kurdistan Workers’ Party], said the chairman of the Kosovo
Democratic Turkish Party, Mahir Yagcilar, on Thursday [18 October].
Speaking to reporters after his meeting with Turkish Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, Yagcilar indicated that Erdogan and
he discussed the problems that the Turkish society in Kosovo face.
"I have provided information to Mr Erdogan on the upcoming elections
in Kosovo on 17 November," told Yagcilar. "We plan to send four
deputies to the Kosovo’s parliament."
"We have asked Prime Minister Erdogan to encourage Turkish
businessmen to come and invest in Kosovo, and help open branches of
Turkish banks in Kosovo," said Yagcilar.
Yagcilar added that the Turkish society in Kosovo believes that an
"Armenian bill in the US House of Representatives should not have
been placed on the agenda of the Congress. We are on Turkey’s side on
this issue and are ready to provide all support possible."
