Sat, 20 Oct 2007 21:30:38

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is due to make an official
visit to Armenia for talks with his counterpart Robert Kocharian.

President Ahmadinejad is expected to meet head of Armenia’s National
Assembly Tigran Torossian, and students and professors at Yerevan
University during his two day visit starting on October 22.

The two sides are scheduled to ink several bilateral agreements on
Monday.

The Iranian President is also scheduled to visit the Blue Mosque in
Yerevan and meet with members of the Iranian community in the
country.

In March, Iran and Armenia inaugurated a 150-kilometer (93-mile)
pipeline to transfer 36 billion cubic meters (1.27 trillion cubic
feet) of gas from Iran to Armenia.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
