YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, NOYAN TAPAN. "Our first response is that free
speech envisaged by the Constitution and law should not be limited
in any way in Armenia," Hrayr Karapetian, the Chairman of the ARF
Dashnaktsutiun faction of the RA National Assembly, told journalists
on October 24, touching upon the incident, which took place between
journalists, a number of opposition political figures, and the
collaborators of the police on the eve.

He mentioned that irrespective of the fact of who is the instigator,
the police should see to the problem. "However, the phenomenon is
a very sorrowful one and not becoming to a civilized country like
Armenia," the Chairman of the ARF Dashnaktsutiun faction said.
