NIS MEMBER STATES EDUCATION COOPERATION COUNCIL HOLDS 20TH SESSION TODAY

Today NIS member states’ education cooperation council held its 20th
session in the Reception House of the Government with the participation
of delegates from Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Ghzghzstan ,
Moldova, Ghazakhstan and Tajikistan.
Education Minister Levon Lazarian noted that the meetings and
discussions within the framework of the council contribute not only
to NIS interstate cooperation but also to the development of local
national systems.
Speaking about the reforms in Armenia, he mentioned that quality is
of key importance. He said a quality supervision national service
will soon be set up. The council meeting also made the quality issue
one of its key issues under discussion.
